Today, RISC-V has more than 560 members in 50 countries and has been successfully introduced to many industries. As the RISC-V CTO, Mark will work with the RISC-V community to understand, define, and lead the broad coverage from architecture to software, and strategic technology directions from embedded to HPC, with global and regional interests.
Prior to joining RISC-V, Mark Himelstein was President of Heavenstone, a Heavenstone company specializing in strategy, management and technical consulting, providing hardware and software product architecture, analysis, guidance and interim management. Mark Graphite Systems, Inc, which was acquired by EMC, was vice President of engineering and CTO, and they were developing big data analysis businesses using highly integrated FLASH memory. Prior to joining Graphite, Mark was vice President of Development engineering at Quantum CTO, Solaris at Sun Microsystems and other technical management positions at Apple, Infoblox and MIPS.
