Semiconductor equipment makers in North America reported revenue of $2.26 billion in April, up 2.2 percent from $2.21 billion in March and up 17.2 percent from $1.93 billion in April 2019, SEMI said. It is the seventh month in a row that the market has stayed above $2 billion.
Ajit Manocha, President and CHIEF executive of SEMI, said: "April revenues of North America-based semiconductor equipment makers reflect the health of the equipment market. While uncertainty remains due to COVID-19 and rising geopolitical tensions, the industry has performed well in exceptional circumstances."
